Diana Scheer [she/they] (b. 1998, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a ceramicist and visual artist based in Toronto, Ontario. Currently, she is an OCAD Sculpture & Installation student and works as an instructor at different studios in the city.

As a distinct trademark, her pieces usually feature bright and bold colour compositions, heavily inspired by Latin American visual culture and popular memory. Through a meticulous approach to surface design, her body of work is mainly composed of functional-sculptural hybrid vessels.

“My creative path takes a broader place as I begin to observe subjects like ancestry, sociopolitical dynamics and the beauty within vulnerability. In a way, my practice illustrates some of the contradictions that have found me along the way”.
