Diana Scheer (b. 1998, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a ceramicist and visual artist based in Toronto, Ontario. Currently, she is an OCAD Sculpture & Installation student and works independently as a pottery instructor in Toronto.

Bright and bold colour compositions are a trademark of her work, as well as a meticulous approach to surface design.

"My research is heavily influenced by the world that surrounds me, which never fails to both delight and appall me. Extremely personal at times, this introspective body of work is born and bred inside my deepest, innermost thoughts and feelings.

Holding space for emotional exposure and materializing real stories and memories has come to be the way I prefer to work through them, as I explore themes like ancestry, cultural observations, justice, vulnerability behind gender roles and the general status quo as I have come to understand it.

I would like to think that my pieces serve as a contact point between the tangible and abstract. In that way, I am tasked to work through some of the contradictions that have found me along the way.

Envisioned, planned, executed and finished by me, the pieces I make help me resignify the Past and quench a fraction of my thirst for the Future".
